This is what it looked like after professional foundation guys came in, removed most of my forms and laid the rebar. The rebar lays down into the trenches to strengthen the concrete and then also has some risers that come up vertically to connect the foundation to the stemwall. The forms that are used have to be very strong, since straw bale requires a foundation that is two feet wide. Two feet of concrete is very, very heavy.
